One of the most dangerous philosophical contentions even amongst liberty movement activists is the conundrum of government force and prevention during times of imminent pandemic. All of us at one time or another have had this debate. If a legitimate viral threat existed and threatened to infect and kill millions of Americans, is it then acceptable for the government to step in, remove civil liberties, enforce quarantines, and stop people from spreading the disease? After all, during a viral event, the decisions of each individual can truly have a positive or negative effect on the rest of society, right? One out of control (or “lone wolf”) citizen/terrorist could reignite a biological firestorm, so, should we not turn to government and forgo certain freedoms in order to achieve the greater good for the greater number?

Can you believe what you’re seeing? A man from Phoenix Air is directing HazMat wearing men into plane who are carrying Ebola patient. He’s not wearing any protection. Now we know why the disease is spreading. How stupid can someone be? Does he think he’s invincible?

Phoenix Air has released a statement explaining why the now infamous non-HazMat-wearing ‘clipboard man’ seen in close proximity to Dallas Ebola patient Amber Vinson (while the rest of the members of staff are fully protected) was unprotected… and it will blow your mind.

Why is “Clipboard Man” not wearing protective gear?

Phoenix Air responds (via ABC News)

The airline confirmed to ABC News that the man was their medical protocol supervisor who was purposefully not wearing protective gear.

Our medical professionals in the biohazard suits have limited vision and mobility and it is the protocol supervisor’s job to watch each person carefully and give them verbal directions to insure no close contact protocols are violated,” a spokesperson from Phoenix Air told ABC News said.

There is absolutely no problem with this and in fact insures an even higher level of safety for all involved
